Anita Altemeyer, MPT
Anita is an Owensville native where she currently lives with her husband, Kris and two sons, Max and Leo. She attended and graduated from Maryville University with her Masters Degree in Physical Therapy in 2007. Anita has experience in a variety of settings throughout her career however her passion truly lies in treating orthopedics, analyzing functional movements, treating geriatrics, and manual therapy. In her spare time she enjoys working out, as she is also a Level 1 CrossFit coach. She also enjoys spending time outdoors either running or cycling or recharging with quiet time on Table Rock Lake with her family. Anita’s favorite aspect of working as a Physical Therapist is sharing the smiles and the look of pride when someone is able to achieve their goals. Watching people achieve their goals becomes addictive and ignites her drive to learn more to help others achieve more.

Ethan Joers, PTA
Ethan grew up in Gerald, MO and attended Owensville High School. After high school, he went on to graduate from State Technical College in 2011 with his degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant. He currently lives in Gerald with his wife, Shyanne, and two children Maverick and Macklin. Ethan has worked in multiple therapy settings and as the executive director for a long-term care nursing home throughout his professional career. Having received physical therapy for a sports-related injury, it inspired him to pursue a career in the field and desire to provide the same support to others facing similar challenges. Ethan has a passion for orthopedic care, as well as serving the geriatric population to enhance mobility and improving quality of life. Outside of work he enjoys spending time with friends and family, watching the Cardinals, and working on his family’s farm.

Emma Bower, PTA
Emma grew up in Westphalia, MO and attended Fatima High school, then went on to study at State Technical College of Missouri and graduated in 2025 with a degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant. She currently lives in Westphalia with her mother, father and sister. Emma also has a cat named Peppa. Emma grew up playing almost every sport since 5th grade. In high school she did cross country, track and basketball. Multiple accomplishments were made including a team state championship in xc and district championship in basketball. Being in the sports environment for multiple years and her mother being a nurse, Emma wanted to work in the medical field. Being a PTA gave her that opportunity to be in the medical field and work with athletes. When Emma is not working she loves spending time being outdoors, playing pickleball, and traveling out of state. “I cannot wait to start my career at a place that values the patients and getting them back to a more functional lifestyle.”

Claira Jahnsen
Claira is originally from Owensville and living back here after spending 6 years in Wichita Kansas. When she’s not working, her hobbies include drag racing, collecting vinyl, and working out. She just recently ran her first half marathon, with more to come. She is also currently planning her wedding in April 2026 to her wonderful fiancé Tanner. Together they have two golden retrievers and a cat. She loves helping others and is always willing to lend a hand.

Nova
Nova is our therapy dog in training and a very important member of the team! She is learning how to help patients feel relaxed and encouraged during their therapy visits. Nova’s favorite parts of the job include greeting patients, getting gentle pets, and spreading smiles around the clinic.
